The Scottish Supercomputing Revolution

Since the creation of the Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre (EPCC) 25 years ago Scotland has been home to some of the UK’s most advanced HPC facilities, including the EPSRC’s Tier 1 HECToR and ARCHER.

Science Scotland, a publication from The Royal Society of Edinburgh, has dedicated their Summer 2015 issue to the thriving Scottish movement in computation science & engineering.

The issues includes interviews EPCC Executive Director on the need for software advancements and the Director of our peer EPSRC Regional Centre ARCHIE-WeSt on embracing the possibilities supercomputing offers.
